{"id":28368,"date":"2022-04-20T10:32:12","date_gmt":"2022-04-20T10:32:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kerisys.com\/?p=28368"},"modified":"2022-04-20T10:46:46","modified_gmt":"2022-04-20T10:46:46","slug":"windows-11-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kerisys.com\/2022\/04\/20\/windows-11-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Doors.NET Windows 11 Compatible"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><b>Windows 11 Support for Doors.NET<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Using Windows 11<\/p>\n<p>Keri has done extensive testing with Doors.NET v5.0.0 and\u00a0<strong>strongly recommends installing Doors.NET v5.0.0<\/strong>\u00a0or higher to ensure compatibility with\u00a0Windows\u00a011.<\/p>\n<p>While we know that\u00a0Windows\u00a011\u00a0is compatible with Doors.NET v4.8.0 and v4.9.0, we have confined our testing to basic installations and basic operation.<\/p>\n<p>Keri will only actively test v5.0.0 versions and newer for\u00a0Windows\u00a011.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><span style=\"color: #646464; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><b>Windows 11 Support<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Windows\u00a011\u00a0has been approved for\u00a0<u><strong>new installations<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0of Doors.NET software from v4.8.0 and newer.<\/p>\n<p>Windows\u00a011\u00a0has been approved for older installations of Doors.NET software under the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #646464;\"><span style=\"color: #646464;\">You have been upgraded to\u00a0<strong><b>Doors.NET v4.8.0 or newer<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #646464;\">You have updated\u00a0<b>SQL Express software to SQL Express 2019<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><b>What is a &#8220;new installation?&#8221;<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new installation means your Doors.NET software was a fresh software installation of Doors.NET v4.8.0 or newer.<\/p>\n<p>It was never upgraded from a previous Doors.NET software version.<br \/>\nThis caveat is necessary because\u00a0Windows\u00a011\u00a0requires Doors.NET software to use SQL Express 2019. Doors.NET software v4.4.0 and earlier revisions installs SQL Express 2016 which is\u00a0<b>NOT COMPATIBLE<\/b>\u00a0with\u00a0Windows\u00a011.<\/p>\n<p><b>How to upgrade<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Note: When upgrading to SQL Express 2019, you must choose the Custom install option, then the \u201cUpgrade from a previous version of SQL Server&#8221; option.
